DO WE EVER WONDER WHERE ALL THE ''WATTS'' FROM THE BULBS AT OUR APARTMENTS GO?
Incandescent light bulbs are a small fire in disguise, which is proven by a fact that approximately 95% of energy is transformed into heat and only 5% into light. In times of constant development, it is difficult to understand poor efficiency of regular light bulbs which are present almost everywhere. Why did development on such an important matter stagnate for such a long time? We must realize that the use of each light bulb contributed to cutting forests, stemming valleys and building power plants. Due to mere 5% of light, emitted by a regular light bulb, today's environment is very different from what it could be if the light bulbs had a better efficiency.
LED lights have a very long lifespan of 50,000 hours, which accounts for more than 11 years of non-stop lighting. The lifespan of 50,000 hours means at least 70% luminosity, which is declared for LED lights, but the diodes themselves emit light much longer. If we compare LED to regular incandescent light bulbs, with an average lifespan of 1000 hours, we can see that LED diode lasts at least 50 times longer. The energy consumption for LED lights is extremely low compared to regular light bulbs. Of course, these are not the only advantages of LED lights.
